Kay Baier is a lens based artist born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design with her BFA in Photography and Videography. Her work specializes in natural light and studio photography with an editorial and surreal gaze. 

Having grown up in the theatrical arts, she enjoys adding a dramatic flair to her work. This is present by using heavy symbolism and set building to create her imagery. The lighting tends to set the stage with high golden highlights and dark, almost black, shadows, showcasing the duality of light and dark. Life and death is always present.
